Bedrooms & Plots

How many bedrooms are there?

We have 7 bedrooms, and 31 campsite plots.

 

What is check in time?

Your room will be ready for you from 3pm.

Campsite check-in is from 12pm.

Please check-in with a member of staff inside the pub.

For all important safety information and more, please read through the information folders in your room upon arrival & save any numbers in case of an emergency.

Can I check in earlier / later?

Please call prior to your arrival and we will do our best to accommodate early and late check-in. 

 

What time do I have to check out?

We kindly request you vacate your room by 11.00am and vacate the campsite by 11:45am. 

 

Is breakfast included for overnight guests?

Yes, it is included with all room bookings. It is not included with campsite bookings.

 

Do you have Disabled Rooms?

Yes, we have options for any guests who have special accessibility requirements. Please ask the team when making your booking.

 

Is there security on the campsite?

Yes, we have a staffed on-site security lodge and full CCTV surveillance for peace of mind.

Dining

What is Food Served?

Breakfast: 8:30am – 11:30am

Lunch: 12:00pm – 5:00pm

Dinner: 5:00pm – 9:00pm

Drinks Available from 8am until late.

 

Are dining options available to all residents?

Yes.

 

Do we need to pre book dinner? 

Our Restaurant is in high demand. As such, we strongly recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. We will always try our best to accommodate to our guests’ needs.

Do You Offer Gluten Free?

YES! As our meals are homemade we are proud to offer a Full Gluten-Free menu. Please just alert of member of staff of your allergies upon your arrival and they will ensure you have the correct menu and that your requirements are met. 

Do You Have Entertainment?

Yes! We have Live Music Every Friday Night from 9pm. Booking is not required for the bar area but it recommended for a table.

Do You Have Weekly Offers?

Yes! We offer Curry Tuesday and Thursday Steak Night Every Week where we offer a Meal Deal at a discounted rate!

Booking

How do I get a quote for a booking?

Our pricing for packages can be found online but if you require further guidance, our team are available to contact via email, Facebook, or call on 01829 720 226. All quotes are valid until the end of business on the day of quotation – unless otherwise stated.

 

What time can I call?

If you would like to make a bedroom or campsite reservation our team are available on 01829 720 226 to take your booking at the following times:

8:00am until 9:00pm 7 days a week.

 

Can my friends and family call to discuss and/or make changes to my booking?

Your booking belongs to you and we are unable to discuss or change this booking with anybody else – unless you have given express permission to do so. Please get in touch with the team as quickly as possible if you wish to do this.

 

Can I book and pay for a friend / family member to stay with you?

Absolutely! However, to protect you as the card holder, the card used to pay for bedroom reservations must be present on check in. If this is not possible – please contact the team to arrange a bank transfer.

Where is The Bickerton Poacher?

Near Chester – Wrexham Road (in between Wrexham & Nantwich) - a landmark on the Sandstone Trail.

How far from Chester / Chester Train Station?

Not far, about 14 Miles

 

How far from Manchester Airport?

Depending on traffic roughly 50 Minutes

Other Questions

Taxi Service

As we are situated in the heart of the countryside, we highly recommend pre-booking your taxi (as ‘Uber’ seems to be a foreign concept where we are located). We know that our guests may be travelling for events and occasions so avoid any delay we recommend that you pre-book with our local taxi service: ANDY 07494 240 456

Do you offer Gift Vouchers?

Yes we do! These can be purchased over the phone, or at the restaurant / bar area , and collected at the pub, or delivered by post (range of postage options available). Our Vouchers are valid for one year and must be used in one transaction.

 

How many function rooms do you have?

We have different spaces available to hire. You can hire the whole pub exclusively. We also have a skittle alley, bar area, restaurant, and offer space to hire on our campsite for marquee’s. Any part of the pub can be hired upon request. Please speak to our team. 

 

Parties – Personal and Business?

We have a flexible space that can be tailored to your needs. 

 

Is Wi-Fi & Internet Access Free?

Yes, it is free to all our guests. Please ask a member of staff for the password.

 

I am getting married soon can you help?

Congratulations! We cater for all weddings large and small – give us a call on 01829 720 226 or email us to request a wedding brochure. You can also view our wedding brochure here.

 

What facilities are there?

Hook-Up, Toilet and Shower facilities, Disposal, Clean Water and Washing Up Facilities.
